Collaboration with Madhuram Narayanan Centre (MNC)
The postgraduate students from the Department of Audiology and Speech Pathology visit the Madhuram Narayanan Centre (MNC) annually to conduct comprehensive speech assessments for each child. During these visits, they evaluate the child’s condition and identify necessary interventions using a standardized form provided by MNC.
After the assessment, students take home the MNC Upanayan checklists to align their proposed interventions with specific skills relevant to each child’s needs.They then meet with both the parents and teachers to discuss the recommended skills for training. In addition to outlining these skills, they may teach new innovative oral exercises, provide parents with practical tips to enhance speech development, and demonstrate simple exercises that can be practiced at home.
This valuable service is offered free of charge once a quarter to all children at MNC, ensuring access to essential speech therapy resources for families in need.
