Milky Smilez Kidz & Family Dental Centre (MSK)
Milky Smilez Kidz & Family Dental Centre in Chennai has been dedicated to serving the community since 2019. The centre offers a specialized program called “Inclusive Smilez”, tailored specifically for children with special needs. This initiative focuses on providing exceptional dental care and promoting oral health for this demographic. The team of doctors understands the unique preventive and treatment requirements essential for enhancing the oral quality of life that these children deserve.
Collaboration with Madhuram Narayanan Centre (MNC)
MSK collaborates with our organization through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to support parents of children with special needs at the centre. The key objectives of this collaboration include:
Early Detection and Intervention
- Phase I – Conduct oral health screenings during the initial visit.
- Phase II – For children without dental decay, preventive sealants and fluoride treatments are provided every three months. For those with dental decay, cleaning, restorative fillings, and fluoride treatments are administered every three months.
- Educational Awareness – Offer programs for parents and caregivers on effective oral care management for children with special needs.
- Desensitization Programs – Implement strategies to reduce anxiety and fear associated with dental visits, minimizing the need for general anaesthesia.
- Financial Support– Identify and provide financial assistance for necessary oral health management.
The first screening under this program took place on October 25, 2024, benefiting 77 children.
