Collaboration with Madhuram Narayanan Centre (MNC)
JBAS College partners with the Madhuram Narayanan Centre (MNC) to provide critical services for children with special needs through the Annapoorna program. This initiative begins each academic year with health assessments for all MNC children, including blood tests to evaluate haemoglobin levels, as well as measurements of height and weight. Based on these assessments, faculty members select 30 MNC children annually for specialized monitoring within the program. Participating mothers are provided with personalized diet charts tailored to their children’s health requirements and receive guidance on food preparation to enhance nutrition.
In preparation for the annual Nutrifest, students from JBAS College also conduct demonstrations at the MNC campus which showcase nutritious recipes and include informative charts detailing ingredients, calorific values, and cooking methods. This interactive approach fosters engagement between students and mothers, allowing them to address questions and collaborate on recipe planning for competitions.
