The birthdays of children attending MNC are celebrated in a unique and festive manner. Every last Friday of the month is dedicated to celebrating those whose birthdays fall within that month, creating a collective celebration that fosters community spirit.
Post-lunch, children, parents, and staff gather in the central prayer hall to kick off the festivities. The celebration begins with lively, rhythmic songs performed by the children, accompanied by their parents, setting a joyful tone for the event. A chief guest – a valued acquaintance, donor, or friend of MNC – is invited to share in the celebration. A special chart displaying the names of the birthday children is prominently displayed to welcome the chief guest. MNC has a special donation scheme for birthday celebrations, and if a donor’s birthday coincides with the celebration, their name is also featured on the board.
The birthday children sit around a beautifully decorated table adorned with a large cake. Each child wears a festive party hat as they take turns cutting the cake, which is then shared with everyone present along with an assortment of snacks.
Following the cake cutting, the chief guest addresses the gathering, sharing words of encouragement and celebration. The event continues with engaging performances including skits, dances, and songs from both parents and children.
The event is honored by a Chief Guest and features colorful decorations, inspiring speeches, and a warm sense of camaraderie. Annual Day at MNC feels like a family gathering, with teachers, parents, and children coming together in their finest attire, creating an atmosphere of joy and belonging. The pride visible on the faces of parents and children is truly heartwarming.
