Mr. N Kumar

- INDUSTRIALIST -

Mr. N Kumar is the Vice Chairman of The Sanmar Group, a multinational US $ 1 billion conglomerate headquartered in Chennai, India with manufacturing facilities in India, the US, Mexico, and Egypt. The Group is engaged in key business sectors – Chemicals, Engineering and Shippping. As a spokesman of Industry and Trade, N Kumar had been a President of CII and participated in other apex bodies. He presently chairs the CII Institute of Quality, Bangalore. Kumar is the Chairman of the National Accreditation Board for Certification Bodies, which is a constituent of Quality Council of India. He is also a member of the Board of Governors of the Institute for Financial Management & Research. N Kumar has a wide range of public interests going beyond the confines of corporate management in areas of health, social welfare, education and sports. One special area where he is totally involved is the Madhuram Narayanan Centre for Exceptional Children.


Prof. P Jeyachandran

- PSYCHOLOGIST -

Prof. P Jeyachandran is a Cinical Research Psychologist and the longest serving Special Educator in India. He is considered a veritable father figure in the field of Special Education in India. Founder of Vijay Human Services, Founder consultant of MNC, Founder SPASTN, he is a member of several committees with the Government on disabilities. Foremost amongst his publications are the Madras Developmental Programming System (MDPS) and Yoga for persons with Mental Retardation which is a first of its kind of text book for the training of Mentally retarded persons in Yoga.











Mrs. Jaya Krishnaswamy

- EDUCATIONIST -

Mrs. Jaya Krishnaswamy – An educationist, she has been in the teaching profession for the last three decades. She was with Mount St. Mary’s School, Delhi as their Senior Headmistress for 15 years. After retirement she involved herself as a voluntary member of an interdisciplinary team of experts in a project for development of a programme of training for children with mental retardation. Along with the support of her husband Air Vice Marshall V Krishnaswamy (Founder Director MNC) and Professor P Jeychandran, she authored the Early Intervention Program UPANAYAN,which is being implemented both at MNC and other early intervention centres across the country. She is also one of the founder directors of MNC. Amongst her various awards is the Best Social Worker of the State award given to her by the Chief Minister J Jayalalitha.




Mr. S. B. Prabhakar Rao

- BUSINESS EXECUTIVE -

Mr. S B Prabhakar Rao is Advisor – Corporate Affairs in The Sanmar Group. Mr. Prabhakar Rao is a multi-faceted personality, with interests in social, cultural and spiritual fields.  In addition to shouldering many corporate responsibilities, he also wears a diplomatic hat.  He has been the Hony. Vice Consul for Denmark from 1977. In recognition of his long and distinguished service in Royal Danish Consulate, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Denmark, the Queen of Denmark conferred on Mr. Prabhakar Rao, the Distinguished Service Award. He is the first Indian to receive this award bestowed by the Danish Sovereign.


Prof. K. Vijayaraghavan

- SCIENTIST -

Dr. K Vijayraghavan FRS is a distinguished professor in the field of Developmental Genetics and was Director of the National Center of Biological Sciences from its inception. Currently he is the Secretary, Dept of Biotechnology, Government of India. He was conferred the honor of the Padma Shri by the Indian Government in 2012 and became a Fellow of the Royal Society the same year. His research and original contribution to the field of life sciences is immense and widely acknowledged by all the in field.




Mr. Satish Parasaran

- LAWYER -

Mr. Satish Parasaran leads a law office in Chennai with a large practice. Son of former Attorney General Mr. K Parasaran and brother of former Solicitor General Mr. Mohan Parasaran, Mr. Satish besides being an eminent lawyer is deeply interested in Government executive actions, constitutional issues, education and company law. His interest in education and his urge to serve the society at large finds him on the board of MNC.






Mrs. Vimala Kannan

- EDUCATIONIST -

A graduate and a diploma holder in Social Science and in Special Education, Mrs. Vimala Kannan has had 14 years of experience in helping the students with visual handicaps through their school and college education as a volunteer faculty from the Readers Association for the Blind, Chennai. Her experiences included her services to persons with mental retardation. She was the founder principal of MNC and is currently its director. She is the recipient of the Best Teacher Award (2002) in the field of mental retardation.


Mrs. Madhura Visweswaran

- BUSINESS WOMAN -

Mrs. Madhura Visweswaran is an Arts Graduate and a Businesswoman. She hails from a well reputed business family of the Sanmar Group from South India that is now into its fourth generation of running the business. She has promoted and is successfully running a Montessori School viz., The Redwood Montessori School LLP, for children ranging from Toddler level to Primary level. She is a member of the Crafts Council of India. Her interest in Special Children sees her on the board of MNC.


Mr. Dipankar Ghosh

- ADVISOR -

Mr. Ghosh is Sr. Advisor, Operational Excellence, World Bank Group Finance, Washington DC, USA. Since September 2014, Mr. Ghosh is responsible for leading the operational excellence initiative across finance and ensuring delivery of innovative products by forming cross-disciplinary teams across the institution. As Director of financial instruments since Oct 2010, Mr. Ghosh, the global head of product control for the World Bank, formed the leading edge valuation and analytics group comprised of 70 staff located in the United States, India, and Singapore responsible for oversight of a 700$ billion financial instrument portfolio, consisting of fixed income, derivatives, and foreign exchange products as well as loans and other borrowings. Amongst other initiatives, his team constructed deals with sovereigns to secure $ 1.4 billion in unpaid capital, a vehicle to assist the development of women’s lives in Saudi Arabia. He is Fellow Chartered Accountant with MBA(Finance) and is a regular speaker on Financial organizations, Financial models and Risk Management. His passion to serve the needy and his interest in Special Children sees him on the board of MNC.
